About Olivia

I’m a second-year LLB Law student at the University of Birmingham, and I achieved an A in Politics A-Level. Having studied Politics at A-Level myself, I have a strong understanding of the course content and the skills needed to succeed in exams. I can help students consolidate their understanding of different modules, identify areas they may be struggling with, and develop effective revision strategies. I can also focus on exam technique, including structuring essays, developing arguments, using evidence effectively and answering questions under timed conditions.
My aim is to make revision more manageable and help students feel more confident in both their knowledge and exam technique.

About the lesson

These lessons are tailored specifically to the Edexcel A-Level Politics specification, with a focus on UK Politics and US Politics. Sessions are designed around the course content and assessment objectives, helping students strengthen their subject knowledge while developing the skills needed to succeed in exams. Each lesson will typically last one hour, although sessions can be extended where appropriate. Lessons are suitable for Year 12 and Year 13 students looking to improve their understanding, build confidence and achieve higher grades. My teaching approach combines clear presentations, visual resources and videos to explain key concepts and political developments. Students will also complete exam-style questions, timed practice, essay planning and exam technique exercises, ensuring they are fully prepared for assessments and final examinations.
