About Esther
Hi, I'm Esther and I'm a third year medical student who is passionate about science and learning. I love biology and chemistry and am excited to use this love to engage with students. As well as tutoring in the session I also offer my own experience and tips on how to handle revision and point towards the resources that I found helpful when I was in the same position you are and helped me secure A-level grades of A*AA in biology, chemistry and maths respectively.

I teach GCSE Maths and sciences and A-level Biology and Chemistry to school students of any ability. I have tutored alongside my university studies regularly. In my classes I focus on understanding and application to exam style questions - using this to identify weaker and stronger areas and improve performance. I use a mixture of formal teaching and questions/ quizzes. I plan my lessons based on what students feel they need to work on - this creates a more individualised lesson, which plays to the students own strengths and weaknesses in the hopes of getting the most out of the session A lesson is typically an hour long and consists of a starter to gain a baseline of ability, teaching using worked examples and then finishing with an informal quiz or some exam style questions and then a recap where I can answer any queries and plan what to cover next.
