About Danah

I have a background in journalism from high school, where I developed my skills in writing, speaking, and communicating ideas clearly. I was also involved in school organizations that focused on helping students become more confident in speaking English.

I understand that speaking a new language can feel intimidating, especially when you’re worried about making mistakes. That’s why I want my lessons to be a comfortable space where you can speak freely, ask questions, and learn at your own pace.

Whether you want to improve your everyday conversations, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, or simply become more confident speaking English, I’m here to help. I’ll meet you at your current level and work with you toward your goals.

My Approach as a Tutor

I like to keep my lessons conversational and comfortable. I believe the best way to improve your English is to actually use it, so instead of spending the whole lesson memorizing rules, we’ll spend a lot of time talking and getting you comfortable expressing yourself.

Our conversations can be about pretty much anything, like your interests, school, work, hobbies, everyday life, or topics you’re curious about. As we talk, I’ll help you with grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and better ways to express what you mean. I’ll point out mistakes when needed, but I want you to feel comfortable making them because that’s part of learning.

A typical lesson would start with a simple conversation to get you warmed up. From there, we can focus on whatever you’d like to improve, whether that’s speaking more naturally, learning new vocabulary, working on grammar, or simply becoming less nervous when speaking English. We’ll end by going over some of the things you learned and what you can work on next.

I also have a background in journalism and was involved in school organizations that focused on helping people communicate more confidently in English. Because of that, I’ve always enjoyed talking, writing, listening to people, and helping them put their thoughts into words.

My lessons are for anyone who wants more practice using English, especially beginners and intermediate learners who want to become more comfortable speaking. You don’t need to be perfect. We can start wherever you are and work from there.
