About Riho

Hello! I'm a native Japanese speaker who grew up in Japan! I was born in Hokkaido and have lived in Chiba (2 yrs), Osaka (5 yrs), and Fukuoka (10 yrs). I spent almost a year studying at an Australian university during my university years. During that time, I helped Japanese learners in classes. After university, I worked for a Japanese company for 3 years and have lived in Australia since 2023. As I live in rural Australia, I currently teach Japanese online. To keep studying non-native languages, having fun and acknowledging the fact that your language skill is getting better are the most important. Let me join your Japanese learning journey and let's learn natural Japanese together!

About the lesson

- Techniques and teaching methodology As an English learner, I feel enjoying talking with native speakers is the most hard and fun part. While focusing on Japanese daily conversation, we can discuss what you would like to learn. I believe mastering language is all about practice, so rather than explaining, I’ll give you more time speaking. Mistakes welcome! - Typical length of a lesson 30-60 minutes (Depends on your demand) - Qualifications/experience as a tutor I took a Japanese language teacher training course in university. Also, I have experience helping Japanese learners in an Australian university as a volunteer for 6 months. - Who are your lessons for (level, age, etc.) I'm open to ALL!
