About Dr Usman Ali

I have eleven (13) years of research, academic and teaching experience in which I worked with different organizations to complete various projects. I completed a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the School of Electrical, Computer and Telecommunication Engineering, University of Wollongong (UOW), NSW.
Current Position: Senior Lecturer at PIA Geelong, 3216 VIC.
Qualification: PhD Electrical Engineering
Areas of Specialisation: Information Technology (Cyber Security and Software Development), Wireless communication and wearable technology.
Subjects: Cyber Security, Software Development, Calculus, Mathematics, Applied Physics, Antenna Design, Computer Architecture, Sensors, Electromagnetics.

About the lesson

I have extensive teaching expertise in the areas of Cyber Security, Software Development, Mathematics, and Applied Physics. In Cyber Security, I have taught courses covering topics such as network security, cryptography, ethical hacking, and data privacy. My focus is on imparting practical knowledge and critical thinking skills to help students understand and address real-world security challenges. In Software Development, I have guided students through the entire software development lifecycle, emphasizing principles of object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, and software testing. I believe in hands-on projects and collaborative learning to enhance students' coding skills and problem-solving abilities. Additionally, my teaching in Mathematics encompasses various levels, ranging from foundational concepts to advanced topics such as calculus, linear algebra, and discrete mathematics. I strive to make abstract mathematical concepts accessible through interactive examples and applications. Lastly, in Applied Physics, I have facilitated courses covering mechanics, electromagnetism, and optics, emphasizing the application of physical principles in practical scenarios. I encourage students to explore experimental techniques and develop a deep understanding of the underlying physics principles. Overall, my teaching approach focuses on fostering critical thinking, practical application, and a passion for lifelong learning in these diverse and interconnected fields.
