About Erik

I have been engaged in concert and teaching activities for more than 10 years, studied with many outstanding masters from many countries - Turkey, Iran, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Lebanon, Russia. By education, a teacher-psychologist, I approach each student individually ️ Long experience of teaching in an online format, the result is 100% Also has extensive experience working with children, taught ethnic drums both individually and in schools and educational centers. I am a nominee of Russia's largest theater award "Golden Mask" in 2023 as the "best composer" Also, two performances with my participation were nominated for the Golden Mask, one of which received 5 nominations. Some projects are winners of major Russian festivals.

About the lesson

My name is Erik Markovskii, 🪘I invite adults and children to online classes on playing percussion drums - handpan, darbuka, frame drum, riq, daf, djembe, etc. and also on Jew’s harp 🛕By learning to play these instruments, you will be able to immerse yourself in the oldest rhythmic musical traditions on the planet, dating back thousands of years, and intertwined with the entire human culture from its very origins I teach and play in the Fusion way, the most modern and diverse game system that combines playing techniques and rhythmics from different rhythmic cultures - Turkey, Persia, India, and other regions In our lessons, in addition to performance techniques, we will also be able to pay attention to conceptual thinking, which will help you use your instrument not only in any musical projects, but also to create unexpected collaborations with dance, theater, etc. Also, the most important skill that I develop in my students is improvisation. This skill will open up huge horizons for creativity, thanks to it you will be able to feel confident in the game, not be afraid of mistakes, always have fresh ideas.
