About Mini

Hello! I’m Mini, a native Korean speaker born and raised in Seoul, South Korea.

Before becoming a Korean teacher, I worked as a software developer in Korea for 10 years. I now live in Toronto, Canada, where I teach Korean to students from different countries and backgrounds. I have also been working as a youth soccer coach for the past two years.

At first, software development, soccer coaching, and teaching Korean may seem like completely different fields. However, they have taught me something very important:

**How to make difficult things simple.**

As a software developer, I learned how to break complex problems down into smaller, easier steps. As a youth soccer coach, I learned that every student learns differently and at their own pace.

I bring these experiences into my Korean lessons. When a student finds something difficult, I don’t simply repeat the same explanation. I try to find a way to explain it that makes sense to that particular student.

Living abroad has also given me a different perspective. I know from my own experience that learning and using another language can sometimes feel challenging or intimidating. Even when you know the right words, speaking them out loud can feel completely different.

That’s why I believe you don’t need to speak perfect Korean to learn Korean. Making mistakes is a natural part of learning. What matters is having the confidence to try, speak, and improve little by little.

I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and learning about their interests and experiences. I teach students of different ages and backgrounds, from complete beginners to learners who want to speak Korean more naturally.

My goal is simple: I want you to feel comfortable learning Korean and eventually think, **“I can actually speak Korean!”**

About the lesson

# ️ Speaking-focused, personalized Korean lessons

My Korean lessons are designed around **your level, goals, and interests**.

Whether you are a complete beginner, already understand Korean but struggle to speak, or want to improve your conversational skills, I adjust each lesson to your needs.

# How my lessons work

**1. We start with your goals**

I first get to know your current Korean level, what you want to achieve, and the topics you are interested in. Based on this, I create a personalized learning plan.

**2. We focus on speaking**

My lessons are not just about listening to explanations or memorizing grammar rules.

You will have plenty of opportunities to speak, practice new expressions, and use what you learn in realistic conversations.

**3. I explain difficult things simply**

I worked as a software developer in Korea for 10 years, so I’m used to breaking down complex ideas into simple steps.

I have also been a youth soccer coach for two years, which has taught me how to explain things at different levels and adapt to each learner’s pace.

I bring both experiences into my Korean lessons.

**4. We use practical and engaging materials**

Depending on your goals and interests, we can use conversation practice, role-plays, interviews, quizzes, my own PPT materials, K-pop, K-dramas, Korean culture, travel topics, and everyday situations.

# After each lesson

After every lesson, I provide a summary of what we studied, including useful vocabulary, expressions, grammar, and corrected sentences.

If you would like additional practice, I can also provide **optional homework based on your goals**.

Don’t worry — homework is never required or meant to be stressful. It is simply there if you would like extra practice between lessons.
