I would recommend Gary Friedman for a teaching position because he is patient and willing to work with people at their own level. He has over 50 years of experience in photography and is able to convey his knowledge to others in a way that they can easily understand. As an author of camera manuals he has developed the ability to take complicated subjects and present them in a logical, organized manner that is easy to follow. As a writer for an international photography magazine he created articles that were both informative and interesting. His own curiosity prompts him to experiment with new and fascinating approaches to photography that stimulates his readers to make similar experiments on their own. I had been a photographer as long as Gary has, yet would love to attend any class that he presented. Anyone can teach a class from out of a book; Gary makes people want to learn more. I went for Gary talk during Sony Alpha Experience in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and dare i say most of us enjoy Gary talks and guidance in photography. The point is straight foward and easy to understand for a beginner. Definitely a recommended photography teacher.
