I think for language is better to get involved in an environment full of new sounds. The language must be eared, and then assimilated. The repetitive exercises are not useful. You must learn compressively. No matter what every student has his own time and particular way to learn. So you must adapt to each person.
Talking, chatting, speaking and doing this all the time, of course, we do writing. The classes must be planning.
