About Lucia

I am a half-American half-Dominican recent undergraduate student from James Madison University, USA. My degree is in Spanish studies and education, as well as a TEFL qualification. I am passionate about teaching language and am looking to expand my opportunities in this field. My promise is to advocate for a comfortable, encouraging, and engaging environment!

About the lesson

Our first class is a free 45-minute session to get to know your background, Spanish level, and your learning goals. This will help me create a lesson plan catered to you! We will discuss how each class works, availability, and answer any questions. Together, we will decide the best learning path and goals for achieving your Spanish conversation skills. My classes are mostly conversation and discussion-focused, which tie into potential real-life scenarios. During lessons, I will facilitate topics and questions as well as provide helpful feedback throughout. We'll also plan a short follow-up meeting to check on progress, update goals, and see if you would like to continue (or if a parent wants to discuss next steps).
