About Suzanne
I have a PhD in geology and ample teaching experience. I was a teaching assistant and a course instructor for several college courses including Introduction to Geology, Geography 101, Mineralogy, Structural Geology, and Field Geologic Mapping. I actively work as a scientist and I recently completed graduate school. I have worked for the Indiana Geological Survey, the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and the Livermore National Laboratory, and I can bring real-world science experience to the classroom.

As a practicing scientist who graduated recently with a doctoral degree, I strive to share my passion for science with students. I can help students navigate higher education, as a mentor and a teacher. I am extremely passionate about science, and I bring my expertise and education to help you learn in engaged ways. I currently have a research position at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and I am familiar with the higher education system as I recently went through it myself. Years ago, I worked in daycare centers with children ages 2-5, and I was certified in Early Childhood Education. I have experience teaching from early childhood through college, and I am here to make science exciting and fun for students of all ages and levels!
