My son is currently in 3rd year of secondary school and has been taking Maths lessons with this tutor since January, as he was really struggling with Higher Level Maths, particularly algebra, equations and word problems.

Before we started the lessons, he was getting around 45–50% in his class tests and had completely lost confidence in himself. He would get frustrated with his Maths homework, and we were genuinely worried about how he would manage his Junior Cycle exams.

We've been doing one lesson a week, and the difference over the past few months has been fantastic. The tutor quickly identified the areas where my son was struggling and explained everything in a way that actually made sense to him. They worked through past Junior Cycle exam questions, focused on problem-solving techniques and regularly went back over topics he hadn't fully understood in school.

What I particularly appreciate is the tutor's patience. My son never feels embarrassed asking questions, even when he needs something explained more than once. After each lesson, he knows exactly what he needs to practise before the next one.

His most recent Maths test result was 78%, which is a huge improvement for him. But more importantly, he is no longer dreading Maths classes and is much more confident doing his homework independently.

As a parent, it's such a relief to see him making real progress and actually beginning to enjoy a subject he used to hate. I would absolutely recommend this tutor to any parent whose child is struggling with Maths, especially if they're preparing for the Junior Cycle.

I only had a few lessons, but they genuinely changed the way I see maths. At school, I never found it particularly interesting, so my main goal wasn't really to improve my grades, but to find something about maths that I could actually enjoy.

We explored how maths is used in architecture, especially in the design of buildings and structures, and also looked at how it appears in music and rhythm. I’d never really thought about maths in those ways before!
