About Amanda
The teaching method is personalized according to the student's (1) GOAL (e.g. business conversation, travelling, living abroad, improving accent/vocabulary, etc.) and (2) LEARNING STYLE (e.g. visual/auditory/writing memory, learning speed, topics of interest, taste for music/movies/series/arts, etc.).
In addition to fundamentals (grammar, vocabulary, etc.), I like to include facts about culture, arts, customs and other characteristics of the main speaking countries in the language, many of which I have lived in. I have had school, undergraduate and professional experiences abroad, thus being able to help students with such goals.

An avid self-learner and passionate about teaching since a very young age, I have lived in diverse cities and countries, being fluent in English, French, and Spanish, as well as Brazilian Portuguese (native). I learned reading and writing in English at the age of 5 while living for two years in England, even before learning it in my native language. During college, I reached the CEFR B2 level in French inside 10 months.
I graduated and have a Master of Science in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of São Paulo (USP), with plans to start a doctorate soon. I currently work with marketing and sales at an aeronautical technology startup. Passionate about arts, I am also a pianist and a ballerina. The first class, free of charge, serves as an interview in which we will talk about the student's learning objectives, identify the needs and current level of knowledge/fluency. Also, I present the course methodology and answer any questions about the classes and other practicalities (class frequency, payment method, etc).
