About Patrick

I’m Patrick, a first-year Law with Politics student at Queen’s University Belfast. Having recently achieved top grades at A-Level, I know exactly what it takes to succeed in demanding subjects. I’m passionate about helping students who are now in the position I once was, sharing both the skills and strategies that worked for me. My goal is to make learning not only effective but also engaging, ensuring that students gain confidence and achieve their best possible outcomes.

About the lesson

My Politics and RE classes are highly engaging, designed to be not only effective but also enjoyable. They cater both to students who may be struggling with a subject and to those aiming for top outcomes. This approach makes my sessions distinct from the traditional classroom, encouraging students to think differently and engage with unique material. I come from a strong educational background, with both my brother and uncle teaching History and Politics at nearby secondary schools. Personally, I recently achieved top grades at AS and A-Level, including an A in both Politics and RE with the CCEA Board. I also have experience working directly with students, further strengthening my ability to provide tailored and supportive tuition. Although my advanced knowledge is rooted in the CCEA exam board, the coverage of British politics in AQA, Edexcel (Pearson), and OCR is extremely similar. In addition, my expertise extends to the political system of the Republic of Ireland, Political Power, and Northern Irish politics, giving me a well-rounded background that supports effective teaching across British Politics. For Religious Studies, I achieved AAAA across all my A-Level modules with CCEA. These included AS Medical Ethics, AS Gospel of Luke, A2 Synoptic Gospels, and A2 Global Ethics. As a result, I am well-prepared to teach students studying with English exam boards, particularly those with strong Ethics components.
