About Simone
I'm an Italian guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and producer, and I give music lessons based on my practical experience on stage and in the studio. I started playing guitar at the age of 12 and since then I've perfected myself through continuous study and musical experience, collaborating with musicians from various backgrounds and styles.
Since 2017, I've been living in Lisbon, where I collaborate with artists on various musical projects. I am fluent in Portuguese, English and Italian, and lessons can be given in any of these languages.
I believe that the real connection with music begins with sincerity. Teaching is a journey that I take with each person, sharing my passion and experience. I bring with me a lifetime of experience that, with honesty and dedication, can help you achieve your musical goals, whether for pleasure or professionally. I'm here to guide you along this path in a relaxed way, but with method and commitment.
Musical training
My training combines a solid academic foundation with extensive practical experience:
- Nerolidio Music Academy, Como → Diploma with Beppe Pini, Filadelfo Castro and Antonio Cervellino, acquiring a solid foundation in technique, theory and musical interpretation.
- Accademia della Suono, Milan → Jazz guitar course with Bebo Ferra, where I developed a technical and creative approach in the jazz style, broadening my musical versatility.
Private lessons with Heggy Vezzano, Max De Bernardis, Giorgio Secco
- I've taken part in workshops with greats such as Scott Henderson, John Scofield, Victor Wooten, among others.
- I studied sitar with Ashanka Sen and lap steel with Matt Bell, exploring new sounds and styles.
Experience and collaborations
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to play and record with artists from different musical genres, such as:
- Blues & Rock → Tours and recordings with Filippo Dallinferno and other projects from the blues scene.
- Folk & World Music → Collaborations with Time for T, Paulo Novaes, Leo Middea, Marta Miranda (Oquestrada), Kimi Djabaté and Mbye Ebrima.
- Jazz & Swing → Participation in the group Honky Tonk Sails (New Orleans jazz) and The Invisible Tuba (swing).
- Indie & Alternative → Work with The Lemon Lovers, Marinho, Ditch Days, Jasmim and Monday.
- Theatre & Performance → Musician and actor in the play *Perfect Match* with the company Hotel Europa, with performances in several countries.
- Independent and authorial music → Development of the Cavalo55 project, exploring indie-folk and American sounds.
- Country guitar teacher for the ‘Os Mestres da Musica’ platform
As well as guitar, I play lap steel, 6-string banjo and ukulele, and use alternative tunings for both guitar and other instruments, exploring new sonic possibilities.

Playing the guitar should be a fluid and rewarding experience, not a frustrating challenge. My aim is to guide you in developing a real mastery of the instrument, so that you can play any style of modern music with confidence, regardless of your current level.
Lessons are structured in a balanced way, combining technique, music theory, improvisation and repertoire building, always in a practical and engaging way. I adapt my teaching to your needs and goals, ensuring that you learn naturally and progressively.
Each student has their own pace and goals, and my lessons are tailored to those needs. We can work on:
- Technique and Expression → Developing a fluid and confident touch on the guitar and other stringed instruments.
- Basic and Advanced Music Theory → Understand notes, intervals, chords and how music is structured.
- Harmony → Learn how to build chord progressions and how to apply them to your instrument.
- Modes and Scales → Explore different scales (major, minor, pentatonic, blues, etc.) and modes (Dorian, Phrygian, Mixolydian) to expand your sound and improvisation.
- Reading and Application
- Exploring Alternative Tunings → For guitar, lap steel, banjo and ukulele.
- Various Musical Styles → From blues and jazz to folk, reggae, African music and more.
- Improvisation & Creativity → Explore ways to play by ear and create solos and arrangements.
- Technology & Sound Engineering → How to record, produce and get the best sound out of your instrument.
- Composition & Production → Support for those who want to compose and produce their own music.
