About Jacques
- I love teaching board games and making the circle of board gamers even bigger.
- I teach both academic subjects and board games (card games, board games, chess) to beginners.
- I love seeing people mastering Catan and eventually joining the competitive league. I have been to the World Championship and can teach some of the competitive skills and techniques that are utilized in the international Catan community.

- I'm the 2024 SA Catan Champion
- I represented South Africa in Germany in the 2025 Catan World Championship.
- I teach Catan at local board game events as well as at local conventions such as Cape Town Comic Con.
- I'm the Catan League Manager for 2026.
- I teach chess as well. I was the chess captain in High School.
