About Kelly
If you’ve ever thought “I don’t know where to start”, “I used to play but feel rusty”, or “I’d love to play piano but I’m worried I’m not very good” — you’re not alone. Many of my students come to me feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or convinced they’ve “left it too late”. My job is to gently prove them wrong. I specialise in teaching beginners of all ages and returning adult learners, helping people build confidence at the piano with a clear, supportive plan — no pressure, no judgement, and no assumption that you already know what you’re doing.

My teaching style My lessons are structured, encouraging, and human. Students often tell me they appreciate that I: • Give them a simple, concrete plan so they know exactly what to practise • Break things down clearly, without making them feel silly • Balance kindness and encouragement with a gentle push to do better than they thought they could I’m especially good with: • Adult beginners • Adults returning to piano after a long break • Younger beginners (particularly ages 8–9, who tend to thrive in a relational, encouraging environment) Progress matters — but enjoyment and confidence matter just as much.
