About Josh
I am a practicing photographer with 10 years of experience. I completed my undergraduate degree in photography from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. While completing my studies, I worked as a photographer for the Office of Communications, Dean's Office, and the Alumni Office. After graduating, I stayed for an additional 5th year in order to work as a photography TA.
Since school, I've been working as an independent photographer in Ottawa, and I'm planning on continuing my graduate studies in photography this upcoming Fall.

I've taught a wide range of students, from people who have never held a camera before to advanced photographers looking to develop their artistic practice. Our task together will be to identify what your goals are and how we can best achieve them. All the while having an incredible time learning more about photography.
After we have our initial consultation, lesson plans will be created specifically for your knowledge level. The lessons will be in two formats:
1. History of Photography and technical knowledge
2. Critiques
The first will set the tone for the week and the second will culminate the week with a critique of the work you've created.
We will be aiming for a final portfolio critique of 12 finished images at the end of our lessons together.
