About Sammy
Educated in China, the UK and France, and bilingual in English and Mandarin, I have spent my personal and professional life between Europe and Asia.
I currently serve as Asia Ambassador for Debrett’s, the leading authority on etiquette, where I lead the development and delivery of projects across Asia. My work focuses particularly on business etiquette, interpersonal skills and Sino-British cultural exchange, and I have developed and delivered programmes for professionals across a range of industries.
Alongside my work in etiquette and interpersonal skills, I have advised governments and international development organisations on tourism and culture, including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and the governments of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Georgia.
I bring these different experiences into my teaching because social intelligence is ultimately about understanding people, context and culture.

My programmes are rooted in two simple values: Respect and Consideration. Through a coaching-led approach, I help participants develop greater self-awareness and cross-cultural awareness, strengthen their personal presence, and build the confidence to create positive connections and lasting impact.

A coaching-led learning experience
My lessons are designed to be interactive and reflective rather than a simple transfer of knowledge.
Through scenario play, real-life applications, discussion and guided reflection, we will look at situations that you may actually encounter and explore different ways of approaching them.
There is no single formula for being “good” at social interaction. The goal is to understand yourself better, become more perceptive of others, and develop the confidence to respond appropriately while remaining authentic to who you are.
