About Kevin
Hi, I'm Kevin — a Melbourne-born math teacher who's spent the last couple of years teaching secondary mathematics at an international school before returning back home. I've always found a strange kind of joy in the moment a concept finally clicks for a student.
Outside the classroom, you'll usually find me on a tennis court or out for a run, which has taught me more about patience and persistence than I expected — both come in handy when working through a tricky math problem too. I'm looking forward to bringing that same energy to online tutoring and helping you build real confidence with math.

My approach focuses on building genuine understanding rather than memorization — I break down concepts step-by-step, use plenty of worked examples, and adapt my explanations until they click for each individual student. Lessons run for one hour and are interactive, with regular checks for understanding along the way.
I hold a Master of Teaching from the University of Melbourne and with 7 years' experience teaching secondary mathematics, including the VCE curriculum and the Cambridge IGCSE International Mathematics curriculum while teaching abroad. I tutor students from Year 7 through Year 12, covering everything from foundational algebra to exam preparation for senior year levels, and I'm happy to align sessions with Australian curriculum, IGCSE requirements depending on the student's school.
