About Xinyi
Hi! I’m Xinyi, a native Mandarin speaker currently studying Economics and Business at University College London (UCL). I’m fluent in both Mandarin and English, so I can explain Chinese clearly in English when needed. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and would love to help more people learn Mandarin in a relaxed and encouraging environment. I especially enjoy helping beginners feel more confident speaking Chinese and discovering more about Chinese language and culture.

My lessons are friendly, practical and adapted to each student’s level and goals. I can help beginners with Mandarin pronunciation, tones, everyday vocabulary and useful expressions, as well as provide conversation practice for learners who want to speak more naturally and confidently. I focus on real-life situations and encourage students to speak as much as possible during each lesson. I can also help correct pronunciation and explain how native Chinese speakers would naturally express things in everyday conversations.
