About Leon
I’m a recent Computer Science & Software Engineering graduate with a strong focus on Java and software development. I’ve worked with Java, Python, C++, SQL and backend concepts, and I’m practically always coding or working on something new.
I know from my own experience that programming can feel confusing when something hasn’t been explained properly, so I try to be patient, approachable and easy to talk to. My goal is to make students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence as they learn.

My lessons are relaxed and focused on making sure you actually understand what you’re coding, rather than just copying solutions. I like to break problems down step by step, and sometimes we’ll work out the logic on pen and paper before writing any code. If you can understand the solution clearly without the code in front of you, actually programming it becomes much easier.
A typical lesson can include explaining a new topic, working through coding exercises together, debugging your code, or helping you understand school or university assignments.
I’m practically always coding myself, so I’m constantly keeping my skills fresh and learning new things. My lessons are ideal for complete beginners, high school students, and university students who want to become more confident with Java and programming fundamentals.
