About Capella
Aloha! I’m Capella, a Hula and Tahitian dance instructor with many years of experience learning, teaching, performing, and sharing Polynesian dance. My journey in dance has taken me from Hawai‘i to Japan, where I have taught students and developed a community through Capella’s Polynesian Studio.
I continue to learn and grow as both a dancer and instructor, and I believe in teaching with respect for the cultures and traditions behind the dances I share. My approach is encouraging, patient, and focused on helping each student build a strong foundation, confidence, and genuine enjoyment of movement.
Whether you are completely new to Hula or Tahitian dance or looking to strengthen your skills, I look forward to sharing this journey with you.

Discover Hula and Tahitian dance in a welcoming and encouraging environment. My lessons are designed to help students learn proper foundations, technique, movement, choreography, musicality, and expression while developing confidence and a deeper appreciation for Polynesian dance and culture.
Lessons can be adapted to your experience and goals, whether you are a complete beginner, returning to dance, looking for a joyful way to stay active, or wanting to strengthen your technique and performance skills.
My goal is not simply to teach you steps, but to help you connect mind, body, and spirit through movement while enjoying the learning journey.
