About Pedro

I've spent 15 years playing and 6 years coaching poker players to beat the games they play — from complete beginners learning their first preflop ranges to intermediate grinders looking to move up stakes and stop leaving money on the table. My approach is exploitative: instead of memorizing charts and solver outputs, my students learn to read their opponents, identify weaknesses, and adjust their strategy in real time. Every one of my students has rated me 5 stars because I tailor every session to what you specifically need to improve. I've played Texas Hold'em for 15 years across cash games and tournaments, online and live. I've experienced every mistake, every tilt spiral, every bankroll disaster — and I've developed a teaching method that helps you skip those expensive lessons and start profiting faster.

About the lesson

Every lesson is built around you — your skill level, your goals, and the specific spots where you're losing money. In our first free call, I'll assess where you are and design a personalized plan. Depending on your level, we'll work through preflop strategy, board reading, bet sizing, opponent exploitation, and the mental game. I'll review your actual hand histories and show you exactly where your leaks are and how to fix them. Whether you play online cash games, live poker, or tournaments, my teaching adapts to your game. Most students see measurable improvement in their results within 3 to 5 sessions.

When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?
I've spent the better half of my life playing NLH. I really got serious in college, once I got invited to a high stakes private game. That's when I realized I could make a living playing this amazing game.
Which artists or works affect you the most?
I learn from my coach, professional players and people from other fields such as economics and psychology, where I apply their wisdom to the game of poker.
What are the qualities and skills required to succeed in this area?
Calmness, discipline, resilience, humility and willingness to be lucky.
What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?
Consistency. Practice Practice Practice.
How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?
It makes me feel useful. And coaching has ignited a new passion: teaching, and meeting wonderful people.

I'm most proud of my student's achievements and development.
