Who I am:
I’m a patient, passionate stringed instrument teacher who believes learning should be fun and easy. I work with all ages and levels—from complete beginners to players wanting to improve their skills. My focus is on building strong technique, confidence, and real musical ability, while always keeping things simple and enjoyable.

Why I love teaching:
I love teaching because sharing music feels like sharing something special. There’s nothing better than seeing someone go from not knowing a single chord to playing songs they love, or finding joy in creating music for the first time. I get to help people discover their own talent, boost their confidence, and turn their love for music into a skill they can keep forever. It’s rewarding to watch my students grow and feel proud of what they can do.

About the lesson

As my approach for tutoring music instruments, I have focused on the unique technical and artistic demands of strings (guitar, violin, Arabic oud, etc.).

Tutoring Philosophy & Approach

1. Foundation-First Technical Training
I prioritize a "healthy foundation" to prevent injury and ensure long-term progress. This includes a strict focus on ergonomic posture, proper instrument positioning, and a relaxed bow hold. By addressing tension early on, I help students produce a clear, resonant tone without physical strain.

2. The "Ear-to-Page" Method
My approach balances Suzuki-style aural development with traditional note-reading. I encourage students to sing phrases and internalize pitches before playing them, which significantly improves intonation. Simultaneously, I introduce music theory and sight-reading to ensure they become independent musicians who can pick up any score.

3. Adaptive Curriculum
Recognizing that every student learns differently, I customize repertoire based on their goals. Whether a student is preparing for a formal classical examination or wants to learn contemporary pop and folk styles, I adapt the technical exercises to support the music they are passionate about.

4. Performance Psychology & Confidence
Beyond the notes, I coach students on the mental aspects of playing. We practice "performance mindset" techniques to handle stage fright and build stage presence. I view every lesson as a safe space to make mistakes, experiment with expression, and build the confidence necessary for solo and orchestral settings.

5. Analytical Listening
I teach students how to practice, not just what to practice. By teaching them to listen critically to their own playing—focusing on contact points, bow speed, and vibrato width—I empower them to become their own teachers during their daily practice sessions.
