About Vikas

Hi there!
My name is Vikas. I'm a former national chess player from India, rated 2000 Elo. Currently, I give chess lessons and play for the Dublin Chess Club as well. Chess is not just a game to me; it's a journey of endless fascination, mental growth, and countless strategic possibilities. My mission is to guide you on this captivating journey, whether you're a beginner taking your first step into the world of chess or an intermediate player looking to enhance your skills.

About the lesson

I have over 8 years of experience giving chess lesson to both adults and kids. My lessons are suitable for beginners taking their first steps in the game as well as an intermediate player.

I take a personalized approach with each student, creating a plan tailored to their unique goals and the specific areas of chess where improvement is needed. My goal is to make our lessons fun, challenging, and rewarding for my students.
A typical session consists of:
- A customized lecture (opening/middle-game/endgame)
- Game analysis
- Interactive puzzles tailored to individual needs.

Each session runs for 50–70 min, designed to be focused and effective.
