About Dylan
I have over 5 years of experience teaching French and hold a Master of Arts in French Language and Literature with a focus on Francophone cultures. I specialize in working with complete beginners, helping them discover French in a patient, humorous, and engaging way. My lessons are designed around creative hobbies and leisure activities like knitting, gardening, and painting. I use project-based learning, visual aids, and simple narratives to make grammar and vocabulary easy and fun. Students practice using French to talk about their favorite pastimes, building confidence with every session. Lessons include hands-on projects and real-life scenarios that make learning practical and enjoyable. I love helping students share their passions in French, whether describing a painting or planning a garden. My approach emphasizes curiosity, creativity, and a relaxed learning atmosphere. Students often leave sessions smiling and excited to practice. I focus on making French feel relevant, playful, and achievable. Together, we explore language through what you love most. Learning French becomes an enjoyable, creative journey.

This teaching approach focuses on helping students develop French skills through art and history. Lessons explore describing artworks, understanding historical events, and expressing aesthetic appreciation. My methodology is interactive, with a focus on rich, practical vocabulary. Students learn step-by-step to speak naturally and clearly about cultural topics. I work closely with travelers and heritage learners to make lessons relevant and engaging. Every session includes visual aids, discussions, and guided exercises to build confidence. Students practice forming sentences, using descriptive language, and connecting ideas logically. Lessons emphasize curiosity, observation, and expression. I guide learners in exploring French culture through paintings, architecture, and historical stories. Sessions balance structured skill-building with playful exploration. Students gain tools to communicate about culture with clarity and authenticity. Lessons encourage confidence, creativity, and a love for learning. Together, we explore France’s rich heritage and bring it to life in French.
