• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  Languages have always fascinated me since childhood. I have always enjoyed learning new languages, understanding different cultures, and discovering how language connects people from different backgrounds. This passion eventually led me to study French in depth while also developing my skills in English and Hindi. Over time, I realized that teaching languages allows me to share this passion with others and help them achieve their personal, academic, and professional goals.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  My biggest motivation to become a teacher was my French teacher, Vijayalakshmi Ma'am. Her dedication, patience, and ability to make learning enjoyable inspired me greatly. Watching her teach made me realize the positive impact a teacher can have on a student's life. She encouraged curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning, which motivated me to follow a similar path and help students discover their potential.

• How does your work help society?

  I believe language education creates opportunities and builds bridges between people and cultures. I try to keep my fees affordable so that quality education remains accessible to more students. Beyond teaching grammar and vocabulary, I focus on practical communication skills and real-world knowledge that students can use in their studies, careers, and everyday lives. My goal is to help learners become confident communicators and lifelong learners.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  One of my role models is Steve Kaufmann, a well-known polyglot who speaks multiple languages and has inspired language learners around the world. His passion for languages, commitment to continuous learning, and belief that anyone can learn a language with the right approach have greatly influenced me. His journey motivates me to keep improving my own language skills and to encourage my students to enjoy the learning process.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  Outside teaching, I enjoy travelling and exploring new places and cultures. I also like watching movies, listening to music, and discovering new things that broaden my perspective. These interests help me stay curious and often provide interesting topics and cultural insights that I can share with my students during lessons.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  One of the most rewarding moments in my teaching journey was seeing a student who was initially very hesitant to speak in a foreign language gradually gain confidence. At the beginning, the student was afraid of making mistakes and rarely participated in conversations. Through regular practice and encouragement, they became comfortable expressing themselves and eventually started speaking with confidence. Seeing that transformation reminded me that teaching is not only about sharing knowledge but also about helping students believe in themselves.
