️ Lesson Breakdown:
0–5 mins: Introduction & Setup
Greet the student.
Ask about their goals (e.g., “What do you want to use the computer for?”).
Briefly explain what they'll learn today.
5–15 mins: Understanding the Computer Interface
What is a desktop, taskbar, icons, folders?
Show how to:
Turn on/off the computer.
Open and close applications (like File Explorer, Browser, MS Word).
Use the Start Menu and Search bar.
15–25 mins: File and Folder Basics
Create, rename, move, and delete files/folders.
Explain the difference between files and folders.
Demonstrate saving files from the internet or Word.
25–35 mins: Internet & Email Basics
How to open a browser (Chrome or Edge).
Use Google search effectively.
Explain what a browser tab is.
Open an email account (Gmail/Outlook overview).
Send a basic email with an attachment.
35–40 mins: Recap & Homework
Quick review: Ask the student to show you how to:
Create a folder, open browser, type a search.
Open email and compose a message.
Homework:
Create a folder and save one file into it.
Practice sending an email to a friend or to you.
