About Tavjyot

Hi, I’m Tavjyot! I studied English Literature at the University of Birmingham and I love helping people feel more confident with English. I’ve worked with children, young people, and adults in education and creative roles, so I know how to make lessons fun, supportive, and tailored to you. I teach because I believe learning English should feel exciting, not stressful. Whether you want to improve your writing, get ready for exams, or build everyday confidence, I’ll support you every step of the way.

About the lesson

I believe that learning English should be interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs. My lessons focus on building confidence through clear explanations, practical examples, and creative activities. I adapt my teaching style depending on the learner – whether that means using structured exam practice, conversation-based learning, or fun, child-friendly methods to keep students motivated. Lesson Structure A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, but I can adjust depending on your needs (shorter sessions for younger learners or more intensive study blocks for exam prep). Each lesson includes: A quick warm-up to recap previous learning Clear explanations and step-by-step guidance Practice activities (speaking, writing, or reading) A short reflection and next steps so you feel confident moving forward My Qualifications & Experience BA (Hons) English Literature (2:1) from the University of Birmingham Experience as a content creator and feature writer, simplifying complex ideas into engaging material Organised and supervised children’s educational camps, supporting diverse learning needs Strong background in student engagement, communication, and lesson planning Who My Lessons Are For GCSE & A-Level students who want support with English Literature, essay writing, or exam preparation ESL learners of all ages looking to improve fluency, grammar, or everyday English Younger learners/children who benefit from creative and interactive learning methods Adults who want to strengthen their written and spoken English for work or personal growth
