About Vanessa
In my teens I could not cook! I was not taught how to cook at home. It wasn't until I left home and had my own family that I started to learn. This knowledge came from a number of different places. I worked in restaurants and pubs across England providing tasty meals to customers. In my thirties I became a Food Technology teacher and the passion continued. I also provide catering services as part of a business and I'm very strict about hygiene and health and safety in the kitchen. I'm also a wedding celebrant and hosts weddings at home, providing food for these events too.

As a high school Food Technology teacher with years of experience I would love to help you reach your potential. My passion is helping people cook to live! Sounds simple doesn't it? If you have teenagers that are keen to learn but struggle with written work in school and 'just' want to cook then come to me at Hewitts Homestead. If you are a high school leaver and you want a few meals that you can create when you go off to university and flatting on your own come to me. Learn how to keep yourself healthy by cooking nutritious and cheap meals that will keep you going and be easy to prepare with limited time.
