About Bryan
After college, I went to Japan to teach English conversation to Japanese international businessmen and businesswomen. These classes were held in the evenings and in the afternoons I attended Japanese language classes for about 2.5 years. Being able to learn a language in the country it is spoken is definitely an advantage, but not necessary. Being able to use basic phrases in life situations like shopping, self-introductions and asking for assistance, is vital.

I have lived and worked in Tokyo over 10 years and attended intensive language classes while using Japanese daily at my company. We will use materials created in Japan for increasing vocabulary, learning about phrases used in particular life situations and try roll-play for easy integration of language as a secondary skill. Learning conversation patterns is also vital to improving your confidence as a Japanese speaker.
