About Tasnia

I am a published researcher in Biomedical informatics with 5 years of experience teaching computer science and programming to over a 100 students. I have mentored students both on a one-to-one basis as a trusted tutor, as well as in large groups when working as a teaching assistant for graduate-level courses. I am proficient in python, Java and SQL and have extensive experience in a wide range of computer science topics including object oriented programming, databases, machine learning, and natural language processing, among others. Consistently reviewed highly by all my students in different tutoring platforms, I will be a patient, dedicated and knowledgeable instructor for your tutoring needs.

About the lesson

I teach beginner to advanced level computer science topics in python, Java, SQL and Scratch to students of all ages and backgrounds. My teaching methodology will depend on your specific needs but I always strive to make my lessons clear, informative, and engaging with a strong focus on practical applications.

When teaching a programming language or topic, I start with building a solid foundation of fundamental basics so that my students are well-equipped to navigate their way through more advanced areas. Through the use of real-world analogies and hands-on practice exercises, I help them master difficult concepts and retain the knowledge they learned.

When helping students complete a specific assignment or debug a project, I first work on identifying the precise challenges they are facing. After establishing the key problem areas, I apply a meticulous step-by-step approach to enable them to overcome those challenges.

Please note that while I am more than happy to guide you through various programming projects, I will not be completing your homeworks/exams for you. In addition to the ethical violations this entails, I believe that in the long run this would only serve to hinder your career and personal growth.
