About Nishok
Hi, I’m Nishok! I first started playing chess when I was six, got my FIDE rating at eight… and then completely disappeared from the chess world for years. Life happened, I studied, became a business analyst, did my Master’s at the University of Edinburgh, started my own media company and somewhere along the way, chess kept calling me back. Recently, I picked it up again, started playing tournaments, and realized something: I absolutely love teaching this game. It began with my best friends, then a few students here and there… and before I knew it, I was hooked on sharing the excitement of chess. I teach everyone, kids discovering their first checkmate, adults looking for a new hobby, beginners wanting to finally beat their friends, even people who just want to train their brain in a fun way. I’m 23, so I get both generations, the kids and the grown-ups. Money’s nice (let’s be real), but I do this because it makes me genuinely happy. Chess has given me so much joy, and teaching it keeps that fire alive. If you join my class, you won’t just learn chess, you’ll actually enjoy learning it.
