About Maida

My Background:
I lived and studied in Changsha, China, for four years while successfully completing my Master of Science degree. Living immersed in the language allowed me to develop a practical, authentic grasp of everyday conversational Mandarin.

Why Choose Me:
I understand exactly what it feels like to learn Chinese from scratch as a non-native speaker. I use my professional background in lesson planning to make learning Mandarin highly approachable and structured for beginners.

About the lesson

My Teaching Methodology:
Learning a new language should be interactive and practical! I focus heavily on the basics of daily conversation, correct tonal pronunciation (Pinyin), and essential vocabulary for real-world interactions.

What a Typical Lesson Looks Like:
We practice through contextual dialogues (e.g., ordering food, introducing yourself, shopping). I provide structured digital lesson plans, vocabulary sheets, and short speaking exercises to build your conversational confidence quickly.

Who this is for: Absolute beginners, students planning to travel or study abroad in China, or anyone wanting an easy, structured introduction to Mandarin Chinese.
