I am CA final Student
And while preparing for CAs i realised that many of us suffer from conceptual clarity on topics because when it comes to accounts the school teacher generally want us to rote memorize the format of solving questions than clarifying on what basis such treatment is done to a transaction

Accounting definition -Depreciation is charged on assets due to normal wear and tear,Technological changes etc.
But in reality - it is apportionment of profits for the replacement of asset when the current asset is fully utilised.
