About JOHN

I have been a Getty Images photographer since inception in 1995 along with working with many publishers from around the world to supply images and carry out photography assignments.

I have the largest Getty Images portfolio of images of any photographer in Singapore, with more than 25 000 images on the site, 4500 of them from Singapore. Last year, I averaged over 200 images a month sold with Getty.

I am now moving into the Home and Office decor space with my Singapore Series, Heritage Shophouses of Singapore series and Stereoscopic Singapore series, which I sell via four print on demand sites at RedBubble, Society6, Displate and Fine Art America and promote via my arquitetura_de_singapura account on Instagram.

I also have an area of speciality in which my work is regarded as world-class, surfing action and ocean scenic images from a long list of worldwide locations that I have consistently produced for decades for publishers worldwide and more recently, for print on demand sites under the surfEXPLORE branding on Society6 and RedBubble.

About the lesson

Lessons will be held in popular Singapore attractions like Gardens by the Bay, Chinatown and Botanic Gardens; for scenic, landscape and portrait photography.

Lessons to be one hour at a time, maximum 3x per week.

I am a graduate of the Design programme of the College of Fine Arts at UCLA, I have the largest Getty Images portfolio of any photographer in Singapore at 25k+ images, I have been published in hundreds of magazines, books and newspapers worldwide, I have done many published interviews for magazines and websites, I have more than 130 international cover images and have worked as a professional image producer for more than 30 years, with full verification available.

The ideal student will have some knowledge of the basics of imaging and a keen desire to learn more and take their imaging to the next level!
