I have a Bachelors Degree in History and have been studying history for almost 40 years, my area of specialty is in British, German, and Russian History, though I am also fluent in America History.

About Joe
I have given lectures to 5th and 6th graders in person which is no easy task given the fact that most kids find History and Geography and topics involved as very boring and not much fun to learn. The main issue with History and Geography is to bring it alive for those wishing to learn more as History and Geography is not just the mere presentation of facts and dates, but the who, how, and why we got to a particular point is very important. There is never a point in History that just happened out of the blue, there is always a backstory as to the "how we got here realization."

Geography, History, Current Events, Politics and Social Studies Lesson Plan
1. Who, what, when, where and why of the current topic.
2. Once the facts and the basics are established we can do a deeper dive into the subject matter and look at the causes and effect of the issue and topic.
3. Then we look at how current events are shaped by past history and how that can be used to understand where we are at today and why its important.
4. Reading material information can be given at the end of each lesson and tailored to the topic at hand to give the person a more in depth knowledge that cant be gleamed from just one lesson.
