I approach tutoring by asking the student what they need help with, or what they feel they're struggling. If an academic transcript is available I'll look at that too, as well as previous work/tests that have been marked and are available. Then I'll go through the work with them, directing with question based learning so the student can learn for themselves. I don't have a very strict approach, I try to keep it casual and less intimidating.
I am a laws and criminal justice student in my second year of university at UC. I finished high school with an NCEA level 2 and level 3 excellence endorsement and finished my first year of law with an A- in the exam. I have done a lot of casual tutoring and would love to be able to help you reach your academic potential.
