About Aadya

Hi! I’m Aadya, currently pursuing a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) degree at O.P. Jindal Global University.

As a law student, much of my academic work revolves around intensive reading, research, writing and presenting complex ideas clearly. I have consistently had a strong academic background in English and have also worked in multiple research positions, contributed to academic projects, and published legal research.

Outside academics, I hold leadership positions in student organizations and have participated in mooting and other activities that involve public speaking, communication and research.

I take teaching commitments seriously and value being prepared, punctual and dependable. Most importantly, I want students and parents to know that they can expect someone who is patient, responsible and genuinely invested in the work I take on.

About the lesson

One thing I have often struggled with as a student is being taught by people who are extremely proficient in English, but have forgotten what it feels like to actually struggle with it. Sometimes, a student understands the idea but cannot put it into words. Sometimes they know what they want to say but struggle with vocabulary, grammar or confidence. And sometimes, the way something is being taught simply does not make sense to them.

Since I am a student myself, I can relate to these problems quite closely. My aim is to make English feel less intimidating and much easier to actually use, rather than treating it as a subject that has to be memorised.

My classes will be personalised according to what the student needs help with. This can include reading and comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, essay and answer writing, creative writing, spoken English, schoolwork, or simply becoming more confident with the language. I also focus on helping students understand why their writing can be improved instead of just correcting it for them.

As a law student, a large part of my everyday academic work involves intensive reading, research, writing and communicating ideas clearly. I also have previous experience teaching Ukrainian students, which has taught me that the same teaching method does not work for everyone.

I primarily teach school students and aim to keep classes comfortable, interactive and judgment-free. I want students to feel comfortable saying, “I don't understand this,” even if they have already had it explained to them several times. We simply find another way of explaining it.
