About Michelle

Hi! I’m Michelle, a third-year law student at Western University with a background in Political Science from McGill University. Alongside my academic experience, I spent several years working directly with high school students through a global youth leadership organization.

In that role, I worked closely with teen leaders worldwide, helping them build leadership skills, plan and execute large-scale programs and events, communicate effectively, and navigate challenges independently. I also developed educational resources and leadership programming for teens and regularly coached students through projects, presentations, and other responsibilities.

I bring that same approach to tutoring. I am patient, encouraging, and practical, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while they learn. My academic and professional experience has also given me a strong foundation in writing, research, editing, resumes, cover letters, and professional communication.

I am happy to work with students from Grade 9 through graduate school, as well as anyone looking for support with resumes, cover letters, or job applications. Whether you need help with an English assignment, want to strengthen your writing, or are preparing an important application, my goal is to help you feel more confident in your abilities and produce work you are genuinely proud of.

About the lesson

I tailor each session to your goals and focus on practical, hands-on learning. Rather than simply correcting mistakes, I explain why something works so you can apply the skill independently.

-Grade 9–12 students: English, reading, writing, grammar, comprehension, essays and assignments
-University & graduate students: academic writing, editing, structure, argument development and clarity
-Job seekers: resumes, cover letters, applications and professional writing

What a lesson looks like: We start by identifying what you want to accomplish, then work through a real assignment, piece of writing, or application together. I provide clear feedback, explain my reasoning, and give you practical strategies you can use on your own.

As a law student, I bring extensive experience with analytical writing, research, editing, persuasive communication, resumes, cover letters, and competitive applications. My goal is to make your writing clearer, stronger, and more effective, while helping you become a more confident writer.
