About Alexis
I'm a second year law student at FIU College of law, where I earned the Dean's Scholarship. In 2018, I graduated from the University of Miami, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelors degree of Science in Communications.
I've helped middle and high school students get excited about English Grammar and feel confident when putting together their college application essays. I've worked with students on editing research papers, putting together scholarship applications, and working through resumé development.

My teaching method is simplicity. I break down difficult to understand concepts into digestible steps, students can check off like a list. For example, when pulling together a research paper the road from research to completion may seem long and daunting. But, together my students and I work to break down the paper into chewable steps beginning with exploring the topic, then diving into deeper research, creating a thesis, then outlining and so on.
I'm most familiar with middle and high school students, whose first language is English but still struggle with Grammar and writing. I'm very hands-on and believe in celebrating the student's accomplishments along the way!
