About Brendan
I am currently a law student at York's Osgoode Hall Law School. I earned an honours degree with high distinction from the University of Toronto in 2016, specializing in political science and minoring in philosophy. I have extensive experience in academic writing and research to go along with my background in politics, modern Western history, and classics.

The focus and design of each lesson will vary with the subject matter involved and the experience of the student in question. Research and writing are core academic competencies that cannot be taught adequately in the abstract, and therefore require concrete exercises in addition to lessons on theory and structure. Courses on history, politics, and law will be dialogic, rather than lecture-based. The expectation is that the student is there to participate in the learning process; passively receiving the information is simply not a successful learning strategy. It is highly recommended that students take notes by hand instead of using a computer.
