About Nishu
I came to the United States as a refugee twenty years ago with a belief in dreaming big and a deep respect for the power of education. Since then, learning has not only been a requirement for me but also a lifelong commitment. I have pursued rigorous coursework across diverse disciplines, studied multiple languages, and challenged myself both academically and personally, from the classroom to even the soccer field. As a tutor, I have supported over a hundred students and monastic scholars at the Writing Center in strengthening their organization, idea development, revision, and grammatical precision, and I have worked with K–12 students in Atlanta Public Schools to build strong foundations in reading, writing, and mathematics. These experiences have sharpened my ability to adapt to different ages, learning styles, and academic levels while maintaining patience, clarity, and high standards. I believe education is a right, a source of growth, and the foundation of our society’s future, and I bring that conviction into every session. This conviction helps students not only improve their performance but also discover confidence in their own ability to learn, think, and excel.
