About Valerie
I have a passion for teaching and have gained valuable experience through my volunteer work and part-time teaching in both China and the UK, where I taught English and Chinese languages. I strive to create a friendly and enjoyable learning environment for my students, ensuring that they have a positive experience during our lessons.
In addition to my teaching background, I hold a law degree, which provides me with a strong foundation in legal principles and analytical thinking. This allows me to bring a unique perspective to my tutoring sessions, particularly when it comes to subjects related to law and legal studies.

During our lessons, I will tailor the content and approach based on your specific needs and expectations. Whether you are looking to learn basic Chinese, improve your Chinese reading skills, or enhance your Chinese speaking abilities, I am here to help. Please feel free to discuss your preferences and goals with me, so that we can create a customized learning plan that suits you best.
I have experience teaching both Cantonese and Mandarin at the primary school to secondary school level, focusing on basic language skills. Therefore, if you are a student within this age range, I can provide comprehensive instruction to help you develop a solid foundation in Chinese.
Moreover, I am also capable of teaching adults who are interested in acquiring basic conversational skills in Chinese. Whether you need to communicate in everyday situations or engage in simple conversations, I will guide you through the learning process and ensure that you gain practical language skills.
