About Alec

First-Class Oxford Classics Graduate, specialising in Latin and Greek literature and language. Excelled at university, ranking in the top 10% of my Oxford cohort in both sets of exams. Learnt from language tutors who enabled me to reach a high level of accuracy and knowledge, while exploring different learning methods, including using Latin and Greek in conversation.

About the lesson

I tailor my teaching methods to your personal needs. My methods include: grammar and syntax drills; practice papers and passages; active language acquisition (conversational Latin); vocabulary acquisition technique training; Latin and Greek prose composition. I can focus my lessons on whichever learning method you prefer, and I have extensive experience using a wide range of both Latin and Classical Greek textbooks, at all levels from GCSE to advanced University level. Typical lesson length: 1 hour. Level taught: Beginner/GCSE to University exam preparation.
