About Avery
I am having a year off in between school and university and am keen to spend my time wisely. Teaching others is not only rewarding but it also helps me retain my own knowledge even better. I love Greek and Latin and during my time at school I found it hard to find affordable and young tutors who could understand the pressures of being a student in this day and age. I like to make my students feel there is no judgement and that anything is possible with some practice.

Latin and Greek tutor. Lesson length up to an hour. Latin and/or Ancient Greek: beginners - GCSE level - A level. For English: GCSE-A Level. I have A*A*A* at A level. Latin and Greek: In my sessions, I'll listen to what the student feels they have been struggling with at school and focus on that first. I have a range of different methods, including talking through texts for Latin and/or Greek together, crunching tricky grammar, tackling exam papers together and more. For English, I can give help with: essay structure for A level, useful revision techniques, poetry/prose/drama unseens for GCSE and A level. I am able to work through texts with the student and get their brains into the right pattern of thinking when approaching an unseen. There is no such thing as a stupid question with me! I am happy to go over any topics which you just can't crack and try different methods which could help you. Happy to offer a free trial session.
