I recommend Lesa! She is amazing person and teacher. She is very patient, willing to take the time to teach and make sure you know the language! I learned a semester of ASL with her and it was absolutely amazing.

I was taught by Lesa for 4 years and she remains one of my favorites! Lesa is down-to-earth and patient with students. It always felt like she was very committed to my growth, and made sure I had a firm understanding of concepts while practicing. She is supportive and non-judgmental, though it was always fun to joke around with her!

Lesa taught me for 3 years, she is very passionate about her students learning and the quality of the content she teaches. Her lessons are very well curated to create an exciting and engaging learning experience. She’s a great teacher if you want every class to be filled with laughter and learning.

I was in Lesa’s class for 2 1/2 years and I learned so much from her! She’s very thorough when she teaches and helps clarify anything! When teaching, she’ll teach the different types of uses for words and variations as well :)

Lesa is an incredible instructor!!

She taught me for three years and I was saddened to have to leave her and get new instructors when I advanced into college. Lesa was my American Sign Language teacher, which demonstrates how well she can communicate in different languages. I took her class at first as a requirement, but her organization of the class made learning fun and manageable! I not only enjoyed the class but fell in love with the material of Deaf culture. I am now in my second year of college and am pursuing American Sign Language as my major all because I found a love for it in Lesa Young's class. She is a fantastic teacher who supports you to the fullest, and even now I know that I still have her support.

I had Lesa as an ASL teacher for all 4 of my high school years. She was an incredibly dedicated and engaging teacher. Everything we did in her classroom pushed me to do better and grow. Her teaching style is really strong because she works with you and finds a diverse array of activities, assignments, and testing methods to help you learn the material and showcase what you have learned.

Lesa taught me ASL when I was in high school for 3 years. She is the reason I thrived in that class. She was patient, took the time to connect with students individually, and always made her best efforts to offer up time outside of class for help and questions. She is a great teacher, I can’t recommend her enough!

Lesa taught me ASL my junior year of high school and was one of the most laid back teachers I had. She was someone I felt comfortable around, and when I didn’t have a place to go cause my friends left school she always had her door open. I recommend Lesa cause she cares about her students deeply and is easy to learn from when teaches.

It’s been three years since she was my teacher and I still find myself thinking of her class, remembering her lessons, and missing her company. Lesa is a great teacher and an even better person.
