About Rain
I am currently studying English Literature at King’s College London and have a strong academic background across a range of subjects. I achieved grade 9s in both English Literature and English Language at GCSE, 8–9s across my GCSEs overall, and a 7 in Maths.
At A Level, I achieved an A* in English Literature and A grades in my other subjects, including French and History of Art. I also achieved an A in my EPQ, which helped strengthen my independent research, planning and academic writing skills.
I am particularly interested in close analysis, essay writing, literary interpretation and film analysis, and I enjoy helping students develop clearer, more confident ways of expressing their ideas. My aim is to bridge the gap between understanding the text and meeting exam objectives, helping students turn their ideas into focused, well-structured answers that achieve results.
I am patient and supportive, and I understand how important it is for students to feel comfortable asking questions. My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A Level students who want to improve their analytical skills, essay structure, exam technique and overall confidence in English.

My approach is supportive, structured and focused on helping students feel more confident with English. I tailor lessons to each student’s needs, whether that means improving close analysis, planning essays, strengthening written expression, revising key texts, or practising exam technique.
A typical lesson is 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student’s goals. I like to break lessons into clear stages: reviewing the student’s current work, identifying what needs improvement, working through examples together, and then practising independently with guidance.
