About Kathryn
I am a first-year medical student with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for helping others learn. Having achieved Grade 9s across multiple GCSE subjects, an A* in Biology and excellent A-Level results, I understand the dedication and effective study methods needed to succeed in exams. I want to teach because I know how valuable the right support and encouragement can be during school. I enjoy helping students build confidence, improve their understanding, and realise their potential, while making learning feel less stressful and more approachable.

My approach to English tutoring is focused on building confidence alongside strong exam technique. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable sharing ideas, asking questions, and developing their own interpretations. Having achieved top grades in both GCSE English Language and Literature, I understand the skills needed to succeed and how challenging English can sometimes feel. I break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps and tailor lessons to each student’s individual strengths and areas for improvement. My goal is not only to improve grades, but also to help students become more confident, analytical, and independent learners.
